2016 Stainless Steel 50ml Capacity Specific Gravity Cup/Density Cup




Description:  
The Density of a coating, also known as Density(Specific Gravity)Cups. Pycnometers are used to determine the specific weight per unit volume of a liquid at a given temperature.
 
This instrument consists of a cylindrical container and cover with a hole for exhaust of excess liquid for any excess Paint(or Ink)to be removed when the cup cover is pressing tightly. By doing so, will also ensure that no air bubbles (or pockets of air) are being trapped.
 
It is in according with DIN 53217,ISO 2811,and BS 3900 A19.

Technical Data:

1. A stainless steel precision instrument for determining the specific weight of paints and similar products. 
2. There are three different size of density cups: 
(1) ISO standard size: 100ml volume; 
(2) 50ml specific volume; 
(3) 37ml volume GB standard size.  
3. A tolerance of 1mg (0.001%) is guaranteed. Testing is carried out in accordance with ISO at 23°C±2°C.

 Procedure:

1. Weigh cleaned density cup empty and record weight
2. Temper density cup and test liquid (20°C ± 0.5°C; 68°F±1.0°F)
3. Fill density cup
4. Put cover on without tilting
5. Avoid air bubbles
6. Remove overflowing liquid carefully with absorbent cloth
7. Weigh filled density cup
