Installation Instructions
Matters needing attention:
1. This instrument is suitable for use in normal temperature conditions.
2. The instrument must be measured within the specified frequency and voltage tolerance range; otherwise, it will affect the measurement accuracy.
3. It is recommended to fix the instrument with a stand for measurement. If handheld operation is necessary, ensure the instrument is stable and level.
4. Be careful when installing and removing the rotor. When installing or removing, slightly lift the connecting screw to operate, do not apply excessive force, and avoid lateral force on the rotor to prevent it from bending.
5. After installing the rotor, do not place the instrument upside down or sideways.
6. Always change the speed when the motor is running.
7. Keep the connecting screw, the rotor connection end face and the thread clean; otherwise, it will affect the correct connection of the rotor and its stability during rotation.
8. When lifting or lowering the instrument, support it with your hand to prevent it from falling due to its own weight.
9. After each use, remove the rotor for cleaning promptly (do not clean the rotor on the instrument). After cleaning, store it properly in the rotor box.
10. Do not "rotate" the instrument without liquid after installing the rotor to avoid damaging the shaft tip.
11. Do not disassemble or adjust the instrument parts at will, and do not add lubricating oil by yourself.
12. When moving or transporting the instrument, use a rubber band to encircle the pointer control rod, and put on the yellow protective cap to support the connecting screw, and tighten the screw on the cap.
13. Many suspensions, emulsions, polymers, and other high-viscosity liquids are "non-Newtonian liquids", whose apparent viscosity changes with shear rate and time. Therefore, it is normal for the results to be inconsistent when measured under different rotors, speeds, and times. This does not mean the instrument is inaccurate (generally, the measurement of non-Newtonian liquids should specify the rotor, speed, and time).
14. To obtain more accurate values, please follow the following points:
a. Precisely control the temperature of the liquid being tested.
b. Immerse the rotor in the liquid being tested for a sufficient period of time while maintaining a constant temperature to ensure it reaches the same temperature as the liquid.
c. Ensure the uniformity of the liquid.
d. When measuring, place the rotor as close to the center of the container as possible.
e. Prevent air bubbles from adhering to the bottom of the rotor when it is immersed in the liquid.
f. Change the rotor or the rotational speed to make the reading on the scale disk deviate somewhat.
g. Use a protective frame for the measurement.
h. Keep the rotor clean.
i. When the power frequency is inaccurate, correct it according to the correction formula.
